They (the org) can change all they want....the fact that they carried on in this manner since the beginning, the fact that they won't openly admit to have been wrong, the fact that they won't directly apologize and the fact that anyone who has been wronged by them has had to go to great legal lengths to get them to react , shows me they are not now and never were directed by God, his chosen ones or the one and only true religion.

by umbertoecho ini thought at the end, stewart made brilliant use of scripture (about establishing fornication or other sexually immoral practises) how, in such a clever way stewart used scripture to point out that some one could basically stake out someone's house to see if a person stayed over night be they homosexual or heterosexual............that on the basis of a sort of stakeout, the two witness rule was ambivalent yet it prevailed.
due to sufficient suspicion.. and therefore why did this "suspicion" not prevail with child sexual abuse.

It's "heartwarming" to hear Jackson's willingness to make changes in their policy in view of all the shortcomings that are coming to light however it is only happening because they are being shamed into it. Had these victims not come forward and had this commission not been formed, it would be business as usual for the Watchtower organization in terms of how they wield their authority autonomously . -

People are more themselves sans clothes so perhaps it would be a good way to get to know the real person without all the pretense that comes along with clothing. Although I'm a big fan of leaving a little to the imagination, perhaps if we see enough day to day nudity, as a society we will shed all the hang ups about sexuality and our naked bodies that have been handed down to us in one form or another. In the Victorian days they were so uptight they had to drape their fancy dining room tables and grand piano with long cloths lest anyone be aroused by the ornate shapely legs on them. Even the sight of a woman's ankle was considered erotic. We've come a long way since them but I can't believe there are still people who freak out about a woman discretely breast feeding a baby in public or view nude or topless beaches as immoral. -

by wozza inhi everyone ,with the change in the format of this site i realised it might be easier now to change my avatar to be actually of me rather than a screaming little horror ,sure i get that way sometimes but i think presenting myself as i am is probably better.
it is a pix of me climbing part of the beautiful flinders ranges in south australia some time ago ,kind of symbolizes the struggle out of the wts ,it turned out to be a beautiful climb and worth it.. if anyone recognises me please feel free to pm maybe we can catch up.

by purrpurr ina friend of mine is staying at a hotel next to one of the big convention sites this weekend.
yesterday she tells me one of the hotels had to be evacuated and the fire brigade called when the fire alarm went off.. it turned out to be a bunch of jw kids having a prank.
she had been speaking to the hotel manager who told her that this happens every year and only when the jw's come to stay!.

Why don't they pull the fire alarm at the assembly??? That would be one way to pass the time, lol
The Assembly is the place where they spend hour upon hour under the influence of a high control group where day upon day they subtly yet systematically are taught to think more highly of themselves than is normal and to look down upon and to disregard "worldly" people and their organizations. They've built up such a level of physical and mental energy and frustration that it has to explode in some form or another. They are able to unleash it upon those who they feel are deserving and in this case the hotel staff is their first contact with non Witnesses authority all day.
